Intro: In order to know How to use the 3 biblical ways of exercising Faith for justification, it is essential first of all to know what justification is. It would it make no sense to tell somebody to use the 3 biblical ways of exercising Faith so they could receive justification And that person have no clear idea of what justification is.

A. What is Justification? Justification means to be made righteous and this includes the forgiveness of your sins.

1. Here is Scripture evidence that justification includes the forgiveness of sins.

- Justification comes by God’s grace. But Justification by grace only comes through the plan of redemption that is in Jesus Christ.

“All have sinned and come short of the glory of God; being JUSTIFIED freely by His grace through the REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS.” (Romans 3:23,24)

This Scripture makes it plain that justification comes only through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ.

2. The goal of the plan of redemption in Jesus Christ is to GET OUR SINS FORGIVEN. This is the most important part of the plan of redemption.

“In whom we have REDEMPTION through His blood, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, according to the riches of His grace.” (Ephesians 1:7)

“In whom we have REDEMPTION through His blood, even THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.” (Colossians 1:14)

Can you see how redemption includes the forgiveness of sins? God is redeeming us from sin.

-We are freely justified by His grace according to Romans 3:24.

- But this free justification comes only through the plan of REDEMPTION in Jesus Christ according to Romans 3:24.

- And the purpose of the REDEMPTION in Christ is to get our sins forgiven according to Ephesians 1:7 and Colossians 1:14

- Therefore, the purpose of justification by faith, which is the plan of redemption, is to get our sins FORGIVEN. Justification by faith really does include the forgiveness of sins.

B. How to use the 3 Biblical Ways of Exercising Faith For Justification or the forgiveness of my sins.

1. The first biblical way of exercising Faith is believing that the word of God will do what it says, and depending on the word of God only to do what it says.

- 1 John 1:9 is the Word of God. “If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

- Believing that Christ has forgiven you for all of your sins by 1 John 1:9 is how to use the first Biblical way of exercising faith for justification or the forgiveness of your sins.

Also depending on 1 John 1:9 only for Christ to forgive you for all of your sins is how to use the first biblical way of exercising faith for justification or the forgiveness of your sins.

2. Speaking or talking faith Is the second biblical way of how to exercise Faith.

“And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment. For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.” (Matthew 9:20–22)

So you are to speak or talk faith. You are to speak or talk that you’re forgiven. Listen to this Spirit of Prophecy quote:

“Do not wait to feel that you are made whole, but say, “I believe it; it is so, not because I feel it, but because God has promised.” (Steps To Christ p. 51)

3. The third biblical way of exercising Faith is praying until heaven answers. You are to present 1 John 1:9 to God in prayer and confess your sins to Him.

Scripture says, “If I regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear me.” (Psalm 66:18) This is why we need to confess and forsake our sins so God can hear our prayers.

“He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” (Proverbs 28:13)

C. Using Your S.E.P or your Spiritual Exercise Program for justification or the forgiveness of sins.

1. Your Spiritual Exercise Program is also know as SETS.

2. We created the SETS by taking the 3 Biblical Ways of Exercising Faith and putting them into a simple spiritual exercise program.

3. The 2–10–10 justification technique is a simple way of increasing your faith so God can justify you or forgive you for your sins.

Here’s how to apply it:

1. Pray for a minimum of two minutes and confess ALL your sins to God. You can pray longer than two minutes if you need to.

2. Quote 1 John 1:9 10 times.

3. Say, this 10 times. “I believe I’m forgiven; it is so, not because I feel it, but because God has promised.”

Appeal: The 2–10–10 spiritual exercise program is there to help people who are having a hard time believing that God has forgiven them. It will increase their faith if they use it. You don’t need it if your faith is strong enough in the Word to believe you’re forgiven and justified after you confess your sins. Are you willing to confess all your sins to God right now?
