Seal Sauce and Garlic Dressing

Seal Sauce

1 C Vegenaise or “Garlic Sauce” (I use Vegenaise)

¼ C Water – if you like your dressing thin

1 T Lemon Juice
1/2 tsp Celery Seed

1 tsp Onion Powder

½ tsp Parsley

1/2 tsp Poppy Seed

1/2 tsp Dill Weed

½ tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Garlic Powder or 2 cloves of garlic (no need to add if you use the “Garlic Sauce”)

1/2 tsp Sweet Basil

Mix and serve.

GARLIC SAUCE

¾-1 C slivered, blanched almonds

1 C water

1 tsp salt

2 T fresh lemon juice

1 T onion powder (heaping tablespoon)

4-6 cloves garlic

In Vitamix blend slivered almonds, water, salt, lemon juice, and onion powder for 2 minutes—it will be steaming hot and feel smooth. Mixture sometimes thickens on its own without adding xanthum gum, but if it doesn’t add this while the blender is running. Blend well. Pour into a container and stir in garlic. Chill and serve. It will thicken more as it cools.
