The Beautiful Work of Christ In the Investigative Judgement
On October 22, 1844 Christ entered into the most holy place of the heavenly sanctuary.
This was the beginning of the final atonement and the closing work of salvation. At the termination of the 2300 days in 1844, Jesus went into the most holy place of heaven’s sanctuary to begin the sealing time of the 144,000, blot out sins, and look in the books of record to determine who among the dead will come up in the first resurrection.
The investigation of the books of record in the judgment also determines who among the living will be translated to heaven without seeing death. The 1844 judgment is a solmn and beautiful work.
The judgment and examination of the books in heaven also determines who among the dead with stay dead and come up in the second resurrection and who among the living will die at the second coming of Christ.
The reason why we as Adventist call this work the investigative judgement or the pre-advent judgement is because this work must be done before the Lord returns. This is His final work in the plan of salvation.
The destiny of every soul is to be determined by what is written in their personal books in heaven.
“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” (Revelation 20:12)
In the judgment of the dead, all who are found wrapped up in Christ’s righteousness when their cases comes up and it’s time to investigate their books, be resurrected at the second coming and live throughout eternity.
In the judgment of the living, all who are found wrapped in Christ’s righteousness when their cases comes up and it’s time to investigate their books, will be sealed with the 144,000 and be translated to heaven without seeing death.
“And be FOUND IN HIM, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH IS OF GOD BY FAITH.” (Philippians 3:9)
Are you covered in Christ’s righteousness now?
